Our story
Ethnic wear for the wardrobe, not the occasion cupboard.
Swag Vashtra makes women’s ethnic wear — anarkali kurtis, suit sets, co-ord sets and everyday tops — in pure cotton, chanderi, rayon and silk. Sizes run M to 3XL, and prices sit where a piece can be worn on an ordinary week rather than saved for one evening a year.
Most of what goes wrong when you buy ethnic wear online is information, not craftsmanship. The colour is not the colour. The length is not stated. The size chart is aspirational. We try to close that gap by writing listings the way we would want to read them.
We are a small operation, which is the reason we can answer questions about fit properly and the reason we would rather talk you into the right size than process a return.

The photograph is the garment
What you see is the actual piece, shot in natural light. Colour on a screen is never perfect, so if a shade is hard to capture we will tell you in the description rather than let you find out on delivery.
Fabric and measurements, stated
Composition, kurti length, pant length, dupatta length. It is the information you would check in a shop, so it belongs on the listing rather than in a reply three days later.
We would rather lose the sale
If you tell us your size and we think a piece will not sit right, we will say so. A return costs us both more than a sale we talked ourselves out of.
